§ 6-59. Water-fed heat extractors an air conditioning units.

  • (a)

    Plans, specifications and manufacturers disclosure shall be submitted for approval for all waterfed heat extractors and air conditioning units prior to the issuance of the permit required by this division.

    (b)

    All waterfed heat extractors and air conditioning units shall be designed and installed as a recirculating ground loop system, recharge or injection well or similar devices to provide that no water is discharged to sanitary or storm sewers, natural waterways or other surfaces.

    (c)

    Where recharge or injection wells or similar ground water recharge systems are used, the standards established by the state department of health shall be met and a department of health permit obtained prior to the issuing of a permit by the city for the installation of such system.
